Flight App
Independent Student Project
Below is the persona and wireframe I put together for a flight app for traveling moms. While I learned about user and market research as part of the course, the class project focused on the general design process and therefore does not contain the research I would normally complete.
For inspiration, I looked at current travel apps most frequently visited by women and households within a certain income bracket. Materials were created in Figma.

After brainstorming several ideas through Crazy 8s, I created the following sketch and wireframe. My main focus was addressing the pressure points outlined in the persona. Finding family-friendly flights requires the ability to easily see layover and travel times since families need a certain amount of time to get from gate to gate. Additionally, families need to be able to sit close together and with their children, so it's important to know about seat selection fees before moving forward with the booking process.

After reviewing the wireframe with my mentor, we determined that the layover visualization was not scalable (no more than one layover could be easily shown). Additional wireframe revisions included conforming certain elements, like the filter button, to current standards and user expectations.
